“A Bunch of Gibberish”
I created a group of artwork called, “A Bunch of Gibberish”, that consists of teapots and parts to a tea set. When I was younger I always had trouble with speech. I used to stutter whenever I would get nervous or if I came across the letter “L”. My family and peers used to get quite upset with me whenever I would mumble so they would always tell me to “stop speaking gibberish”. People being tough on me when it came across my speech also taught me that nothing comes easy in life. Life is constantly throwing objects and projectiles at you and most people can argue that they do not know what life wants from you or why life throws obstacles at you. Life always decides that it is going to speak gibberish to you. Life does whatever it wants to you but you can’t do anything about it. If there is one lesson I have learned in my life it is that nothing is promised and life is unfair. You don’t always get what you deserve and you can never understand why. I decided to create this group of work because each tea pot has it’s own random theme, kind of like they are speaking gibberish to you.
